Board of Trustees – Fundraising Specialist

The Ecology Centre is an inclusive, community-led charity who inspire positive change through directly connection people and the natural environment for the benefit of both.
The organisation is currently looking for an individual with proven experience of executing successful fundraising campaigns, to join their dedicated and expanding Board of Trustees to ensure effective strategic oversight and governance of the charity in line with their mission, vision and values.

Experience required

The organisation is looking for an individual with proven experience of executing successful fundraising campaigns, who can provide support with the following key areas:
-Strategy development: Working with the Board of Trustees and General Manager to shape an effective fundraising strategy, fostering long-term sustainability and growth in line with our values
-Strategy execution: Support as necessary the process of fund identification and grant writing to secure key funds and grants for the charity
-Partnership Development: Targeted and strategic identification of partnerships to advance our goals and support to manage key stakeholders within our key funders
-People support: Providing expert advice as necessary to the General Manager and operational team to ensure alignment at all levels.

Travel expenses

Following prior agreement, legitimate, out of pocket travel expenses will be reimbursed.

Induction and ongoing training be delivered by Board of Trustees and General Manager

Restrictions

Minimum age: 16

Volunteers (aged 16-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
