Board Member

Scarf is a charity/social enterprise delivering a range of services to householders, communities, and businesses throughout the Northeast of Scotland. For almost 40 years we have been offering free and impartial energy saving advice to help people lower their fuel bills and carbon emissions.

We are very excited to be able to offer this opportunity for the right person to join our Board and contribute to the good governance of the organisation as well as assisting in achieving its aims and objectives moving forward.

Previous Board experience is preferred but not essential, and this opportunity is open to all ages (18+), all backgrounds and all abilities. The positions are unremunerated however travel and expenses will be reimbursed; training and development are also part of the offer.

Travel details

Board meetings happen once a month and generally take place at our Aberdeen HQ, 1 Cotton Street, Aberdeen, AB11 5EE. However we do have some flexibility for joining online.

Training details

Relevant training, development and excellent support is provided to all volunteers/Board Members.

Minimum age: 18

Frequency & commitment
Flexible times available to help.

Volunteers (aged 18-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
