CVS Falkirk & District support, develop and represent community groups, voluntary organisations, social enterprises and volunteering in the Falkirk District area.
We are opening new premises in Grangemouth to build our presence and support community engagement, and we are looking for a research volunteer to collect and record the local history of Grangemouth. We will then display this research in our new hub for the people of Grangemouth and to celebrate the community.
This role would suit individuals, students and researchers who are interested in local history, media, and are looking for more research experience - or just enjoy doing research and celebrating the community!
Experience required
Research experience would be helpful.
Travel expenses
0.45p per mile or public transport costs for travel.
Dates
16 October - 29 November 2024
Support
Training details
You will be supervised and supported throughout by a member of staff with knowledge of the community and also of research.
Restrictions
Minimum age: 16
Availability
Volunteers (aged 16-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
