The Volunteer will be an knowledgeable and enthusiastic individual who will help guide young people in learning about coding and helping them in improving their digital skills. They will help set tasks using Scratch, Micro:Bit and Arduino platforms, and will help to supervise the young people in their sessions. This opportunity will take place at Dalkeith library on a Friday afternoon, although the time can be flexible.
Experience required
Knowledge of Coding in different platforms. Patience and an enthusaism to impart an excitement about technology to young people.

Local buses stop outside library.
Travel expenses
Public transport costs for travel to and from the site.
Support
Training details
Volunteer will be given introduction to the building, staff, and the resources available. Staff member will be available to support in the first sessions run.
Availability
Volunteers (aged 12-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
