Project Volunteer (Fort William)

Would you like to use your skills and broaden your experience while making a difference to the 1 in 5 people living with chest, heart, and stroke conditions across Scotland?

We are looking for enthusiastic and well organised Project Volunteers in the western Highlands to help support the Fundraising Team with their projects such as our new events near Fort William.

You can get involved with researching local businesses for funding and partnership opportunities. Help create event handbooks and packs plus promote fundraising events in your local community.


This role can be done in your own time at home.


Experience required

Tasks will depend on the specific scope, goals and timescales of the project and could include researching potential opportunities to raise funds (e.g., Charity of the Year schemes) and producing a proposal; or designing, developing and finalising information packs and materials for our supporters, volunteers and colleagues. This role requires experience using Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and the internet, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Travel details

This is a home-based role.

Travel expenses

Reasonable out of pocket expenses will be reimbursed. These should be discussed with your Line Manager prior to outlay and must be submitted within the prescribed guidelines as detailed in the CHSS Volunteer Expenses Policy.

Support
Training details

All necessary training will be provided, including: Cyber Security Awareness E-Learning; GDPR UK: Essentials E-Learning; and Safeguarding Adults (L2) E-Learning.
