A Range of Voluntary Roles - We Welcome Women* to our Workshops

Come and join Bike for Good's community, everyone is welcome. We believe that cycling is the most effective and sustainable form of transport and that it enhances our chances for a healthy life and environment. Our bike sales from donated and refurbished bikes support our health and wellbeing community projects all over Glasgow.

Volunteers play a very important role in supporting our mission: refurbishing bicycles and promoting cycling as a viable means of transport. Our volunteers currently support us with bike rides, cycle training, stripping and building bikes, van driving, administration, the shop floor, and much more! We have many existing volunteer opportunities and are also open to creating roles for people who bring unique skills to Bike for Good.

Women* can come along and learn about bike mechanics whilst helping save bikes from landfill. You don’t need to have previous experience, you just need an interest and enthusiasm to learn. Our instructors will support and guide you, whatever your knowledge and skill level - you will learn something each time you volunteer with us. Our volunteers care about the environment and take pride in rebuilding bikes. In doing so, they help provide fun and freedom again to people of all ages in our local community. As a thank you, we will offer you a variety of training opportunities.

*We welcome women of all backgrounds. Our definition of Women includes Trans/Intersex women, and non-binary people. Our instructors are focused on providing an empowering experience to learners.

If you are interested please click the ‘Apply’ button below (available when logged in and registered). You will then be contacted by the coordinator by email or phone call. If you have not heard back after 5 working days, the first step is to contact the organisation with the contact details provided. You could also check your junk/spam folder on your emails just in case the response is there. If that doesn’t work out then please feel free to contact Volunteer Glasgow on info@volunteerglasgow.org
