Sports, Leisure, kids holiday activity leaders

Our charity provides services that promote physical, mental, emotional, and community wellbeing, support low-income families, foster community cohesion, combat isolation and champion sustainability and the circular economy.

As a sports, leisure or kids holiday programme volunteer, you will play an important role in delivering engaging activities that promote all round health and wellbeing and encourage participation in community activities that support mental and physical health and citizenship.

Your responsibilities will include: ensuring a safe and fun environment for visitors and participants; set up and break down of sports and leisure activities and classes; support for community-based activities such as Inclusive Stay and Play sessions; planning and delivery of kids holiday programmes with staff and Health, Wellbeing and Fitness Manager; ensuring the safety of participants and visitors to the centre; light maintenance and cleaning

In return, we offer employability skills training, agreed volunteer outcomes, or simply the chance to meet and socialise with like-minded people and to be part of a vital rural community hub.

No experience is needed – we provide full training and support to help you feel confident in your role. Young people can work towards their Saltire Awards with our volunteering scheme.
