Community Carrot Secretary

We are looking for a volunteer to fill the position of Secretary on our Board of Trustees from February 2025.

It is an important and rewarding role at the heart of the Crunchy’s support team, requiring the equivalent of around two days a month commitment. The Secretary position primarily consists of:

Organising monthly board meetings and taking the minutes.

Uploading the minutes to the website and emailing an update to staff.

Supporting the shop Managers and our Food Outreach and Communications lead.

Developing strategy, policy and support matters as arising.

Responding to emails to the board inbox (light traffic).

Coordinating the AGM, prior and on the day.

Arranging the sign off and submission of annual accounts.

This might look like a lot but the processes for it all are well ironed out! Naomi has made a comprehensive cheat-sheet and will do a handover.

You would need good organisational and communication skills, a reasonable level of computer literacy and a love of the Crunchy Carrot and our guiding principles: local food, sustainability and community.

If you are interested in applying to be our new Secretary please complete the application for found on the Vacancies page of the Community Carrot website.
