Marketing and Social Media Coordinator

We are looking for a new volunteer member to promote us to the local and wider community in order to gain new members and development opportunities for our circle members.

In the early days, you will work closely with the group founder and facilitator to create and share content on our media platform to increase our brand awareness, visibility, accessibility and engagement. You will help us to seek our new media opportunities and new ways to connect with our community.

• Build and manage the group’s social media profiles and presence, where appropriate to include Facebook, and additional channels that may be deemed relevant. For example, Facebook, TikTok and similar
• Monitor and engage in relevant social discussions about our organisation, other drumming groups, and/or local community events.
• Regularly populate and update Drum EK Facebook page
• Drive consistent, relevant traffic and leads from our social network presence.
• Explore new ways to engage and identify new social networks to reach our target members.
• Provide a brief outline of activities for the bi-monthly committee meeting.


Expenses can be paid per our Volunteer and Volunteer Expenses Policies.


We are ideally looking for someone with the following skills:


• Experience and knowledge of using Social Media and various other Media
• Proficient in MS applications (Word, Excel, Publisher)
• Creativity and a desire to apply it towards all marketing and development media
• Ability to work independently, as well as in collaboration with others as part of a team
• Good organisational skills


Experience required

Computer / IT / Web,PR / Marketing, Creative,Good Communicator,Open minded,Organised,Practical,Reliable / Dependable,Team Player,Trustworthy,Someone who is able to contribute quickly and is able to take and give direction when required.
Someone who truly wants to assist a community group to develop within the wider community, so knowledge of East Kilbride groups would be desirable.
