Creative Organiser (videographer/Photographer)

We are looking for someone who is creative and organised. Someone to take videos and photographs at our weekly group and other events and deliver them In a fun, factual and organised manner, for use in publicising the group; group development; shaping our venue noticeboard; and for annual reports, and reports to funders.

In the early days, you will work closely with the group founder to gain knowledge of the shared vision of the committee and the drumming circle and to assist you create and prepare content for sharing on social and other media platforms to increase our brand awareness, visibility, accessibility and engagement.

Your work will be used for our publicity and to maintain historical records of our progress as a group by taking pictures and video clips at sessions and events and splicing them into storyboards with music and visual pictorial history of our activities. You would advise on how creatively we can display information on our venue noticeboard.


Nothing is set in stone, and you will be afforded your own creative space in which to thrive, working closely with the group’s founder. Some Wednesday morning work will be required for picture/ video-making and information obtaining.


You will have the option to become part of our committee should you choose and attend our bi-monthly committee meetings to report your progress, or the group founder will report for you if you prefer not to join the committee.


Per our volunteer and volunteer expenses policies, agreed expenses can be paid.


We are ideally looking for someone with the following skills:


• Good organisational skills
• Experience and knowledge of Social Media and various other Media
• Understanding of what makes a good photograph / video in modern media
• Proficient in MS applications (Word, Excel, Publisher)
• Creativity and a desire to apply your skills towards the develop of our group
• Ability to work independently, as well as in collaboration with others as part of a team


Experience required

Computer / IT / Web,PR / Marketing, Creative,Good Communicator,Open minded,Organised,Patient,Practical,Reliable / Dependable,Sociable,Team Player,Trustworthy,Someone who is able to contribute quickly and is able to take and give direction when required.
Someone who truly wants to assist a community group to develop within the wider community, so knowledge of East Kilbride groups would be desirable.
