Trustee/Board Member

We are a small board looking to enhance the skillset of our board by appointing new Trustees with specific skills to enhance our existing trustees. Ideally, we want to hear from people with some trustee experience, however this isn’t essential as we would like to strengthen our board by recruiting a more diverse group of people with a variety of skills, including , social media and marketing, monitoring and evaluation, IT, Fund raising and applying for grants, and someone who enjoys planning and event management.

You will be welcomed to help us shape how the charity moves forward and take part in developing and delivering our strategy. As a trustee you will work closely with the other members of the board and be prepared to play an active part in discussions and the decision-making process, and have a real opportunity to use your skillset to strengthen and grow the charity to continue to make a difference in the lives of local families.

Experience required

Experience in/of any of the following:
Funding applications, Marketing and social media, Event management and fundraising, Monitoring and evaluation, and IT.

An ability to communicate clearly demonstrating good judgement to members of the Board and other stakeholders. Understanding and acceptance of the legal duties, responsibilities and liabilities of trusteeship would be beneficial.

Interested and aware of the issues faced by families in need and a desire to be involved in an organisation that supports / helps such families.
