Giving guided tours of the oldest Primary School in Edinburgh (1844) and learning and talking about Victorian education, the fishing industry around Edinburgh and the history of Newhaven village. Tours will be offered on Wednesday and Saturday mornings from 24th May.
Travel details
HoN is in the Old Victoria Primary School on Annfield, Newhaven. Easily accessible by tram to Newhaven terminus and Lothian buses numbers 7,11 and 16.
Building has 3 floors and guide will be expected to take visitors up 3 flights of stairs so must be able to do this.
Travel expenses
A claim form will be issued to trained volunteers.
Support
Training details
Ongoing training and support will be offered. You can try out guiding with a more experienced tour guide.
