Asylum and Refugee Care (AARC)
- VO102815
We are looking for individuals with lived experience of the asylum-seeking process, to become trustees. To avoid conflict of interest, we ask that you are no longer receiving direct support from AARC, but would welcome anyone who has previously received support from AARC.
AARC is a growing, relatively new charity (established in April 2023). This is therefore an exciting opportunity to play an active role in the governance of AARC, including shaping its services. As trustees, we meet monthly to receive updates on AARC’s operations, oversee finances and funding opportunities, make strategic decisions, write and approve policies, take part in subcommittees as these are formed, etc.
We ask that if you’re considering being a trustee, you’re able to commit to a monthly trustee meeting plus approximately 3 hours a week to take part in a subcommittee and/or support with other actions. We currently meet on the last Tuesday of each month.
For more information or if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at email: trustees@aarc.charity or telephone: 07392856117
