About this event
Edinburgh Food Social is a social enterprise transforming food culture. EFS promotes the use of local, seasonal produce to increase access to and understanding of good food and its transformational impact on physical and mental health. We're looking for volunteers to help conduct a food survey in our area.
Volunteering details
Edinburgh Food Social is carrying out a comprehensive Food Census of the Craigmillar area with the aim of better understanding and addressing the needs of our community. We are looking for volunteers to administer the survey at various locations in the area (GP surgeries, community centres, food banks, door-to-door, etc.). A short training session will be provided before heading out to canvas. Volunteers must be comfortable engaging with the public.
Travel details
We will meet at the EFS kitchen/office (47 Peffer Pl, EH16 4BB) and head out to in the local area to conduct the survey in small groups.

A short training session will be provided before heading out in the community.
Restrictions
Minimum age: 16
Volunteers (aged 16-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
