Participants for the FAMOUS Study

Does replacing meat with fish benefit heart health?

We are looking for volunteers to participate in an exciting research study to explore how high fish and high meat diets influence heart health and the gut microbiome.

*We are looking for:
• Healthy men and women.
• Aged 30-65 years old.
• Classed as overweight (BMI 25-29.9kg/m2-we can advise regards this if you do not know your BMI).


*What is involved?
• Follow a high-fish and high-meat diet plan, designed by nutrition experts (all meals are provided to you by us for this.
• You will receive an allowance for your time and travel costs upon completion of the intervention.


Through taking part in this study you will be helping with important research, the information we collect may help find ways of reducing people’s risk of developing diseases such as heart disease.

The Rowett Institute is in the University Medical Campus on Ashgrove Road West, Aberdeen, AB25 2ZD (beside ARI) with designated parking available.
