Community Worker

Volunteer Opportunity: Help Raise Awareness for Anam Cara Fasgadh:

Do you have a passion for supporting bereaved families and want to help make a difference?

Anam Cara Fasgadh is looking for enthusiastic Community Workers to work with schools, youth groups, and community organisations to raise awareness of our charity’s vital work supporting families grieving the loss of a baby, child, or young person.

We are especially keen to hear from individuals in Ayrshire, Lothian, Glasgow, Moray, Perth & Kinross, and Highland.

About the role:

We need volunteers who are confident speaking in public on behalf of Anam Cara Fasgadh and are happy working with both young people and adults. You’ll help us share our story, inspire fundraising, and spread the word about the support we offer — including free respite breaks, memorial events, and emotional support for bereaved families. Applicants must be over 17 years of age.

What you’ll do:

✅ Visit schools, youth groups, and community organisations to give talks and presentations
✅ Help raise awareness of our work and encourage fundraising
✅ Represent the charity at local events and gatherings
✅ Build connections in your local area
