Highland Disabled Ramblers

Highland Disabled ramblers is a small, local charity registered with OSCR, fully run by member volunteers. The group provides a programme, during spring, summer and autumn, of country rambles on mobility scooters for adults with reduced mobility. We also have indoor winter meetings when it is too cold to ramble. We travel to highland venues throughout Highland, mainly within 40 miles of Inverness.

We require a Secretary to work with the rest of the committee to organise and deliver our activities for members. Further information about HDR can be found on our website,

Support

Training details

Comprehensive handover and support will be provided by current interim Secretary and other committee members. If the applicant wishers to become involved in in our activities they will be able to access our ongoing training programme for walking and driving volunteers

Restrictions

Minimum age: 18

Volunteers (aged 18-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
