Volunteer Business Consultant

Sported is a charity which delivers expertise, resources and vital support to clubs and groups that use
sport and physical activity to make a positive impact on young people – and on our communities –
throughout the UK.

Sported’s network of 5,000 sports clubs and groups changes lives and helps transform communities
across the UK. These groups can access a wealth of benefits and services, including the support of
Sported’s community of Volunteer Consultants.
This community is made up of professionals and experts from a range of backgrounds, all volunteering
their time and knowledge to help the Sported network to deliver for its communities.
Our incredible Volunteer Consultants bring a wide range of skills and lived experiences to placements with
Sported clubs and groups.
These placements may be short-term or long-term, local to you or at the opposite end of the country, in a
sport you know or one you don’t yet. They’re an opportunity for you to both share your knowledge and
learn about grassroots and community sport.

Experience required

You might bring knowledge of strategy and project development, human resources, marketing or financial
planning from your day-to-day career to support long-term sustainability and growth of a local group that is
shaping the lives of young people.
Or you can lend your personal experience in fundraising, mentoring or creating inclusion to support
leaders, trustees or changemakers within a grassroots club or group – or for Sported
