Companion Volunteer

You will be supporting people affected by a terminal illness in the community; helping them to stay active and take part in the things that matter to them. This could be as simple as meeting someone for a coffee or giving a carer a break for a couple of hours a week. By visiting with our clients you will be supporting them at through a difficult time, being the friendly face they look forward to seeing each week and someone who can listen and give them space to talk about their feelings. If you enjoy meeting new people and have great conversations skills then we would love to hear from you today.

Experience required

Empathy and a compassionate approach to our clients and their needs. Must be reliable and committed to the role and able to work with someone from any background. Own vehicle useful but not a necessity.

Travel expenses

We will reimburse for travel costs including mileage in own vehicle and for other agreed activities. These can be claimed monthly. Mileage at standard HMRC rate of 45p per mile.
