Are you passionate about empowering young people and fostering inclusive, community-driven support? Do you want to play a pivotal role in strengthening a dynamic organisation dedicated to youth development and well-being? Join us as a Trustee of Biggar Youth Project.

Who We Are


Biggar Youth Project is a community-focused initiative dedicated to supporting young people, through pastoral care, safe spaces, and social engagement. We address challenges such as rural isolation, transition support, and youth well-being, ensuring young people feel heard, valued, and empowered.


We are located in the Old Auction ring, Clydesdale Close, Biggar. Our building has recently been extensively renovated and modernised to a high standard.


As we strengthen our governance and expand our initiatives, we seek dedicated Trustees to help shape our future, refine our strategic vision, and enhance our community impact.


Who We’re Looking For


We welcome applicants with expertise in:


· Charity governance and strategic development


· Youth work, safeguarding, and pastoral care


· Community engagement and inclusivity


· HR, law, fundraising, marketing, or communications


Above all, we seek individuals who share our commitment to equity, inclusion, and youth independence in rural communities.

Commitment & Benefits


· Normally, a three-year term, which is renewable.


· Time Commitment: Approx. 4-6 meetings annually (board meetings, planning sessions, AGM)


· Expenses: Unremunerated, but reasonable travel costs covered


· Impact: Shape the future of a high-impact, community-rooted organisation
