The Lang Spoon Kitchen, part of Greener Kirkcaldy, is a place for people to grow, cook, eat and learn. The organisation run a range of exciting food and cooking activities including courses and workshops and a weekly community meal.
To support this, Greener Kirkcaldy are looking for an experienced cook to assist with the cooking classes. This role may be suitable for a retired home economics teacher, or somebody with similar teaching experience and a love for cooking.
As well as cooking, this role will likely involve the following tasks:
-Cleaning, doing dishes and lending a hand at courses and workshops
-Working with adults, young people and families
Experience required
Due to the nature of this role, the organisation is looking for an experienced cook with teaching experience. In addition to this, the individual should be happy to work in a team, friendly, approachable and reliable.

Training details
A general induction to GK plus all health and safety compliances in the kitchen. Accredited food hygiene and allergy awareness training
Restrictions
Minimum age: 16
Availability
Volunteers (aged 16-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
