Mary's Meals

We’re looking for local media volunteers who are passionate about making a difference and can help us share the mission of Mary’s Meals through the written and spoken word. Mary's Meals serves school meals to over 2.6 million children living in poverty every school day across 16 countries, helping end child hunger and increasing access to education for the next generation.
If you are based in South Ayrshire and interested in engaging with the media to make a difference, you could become a local media volunteer with Mary’s Meals.
Activities you can get involved in include:
· Keeping up to date with what local volunteers and volunteer groups are doing for Mary’s Meals in your region.
· Sharing and creating social media posts for our regional social media pages and other volunteers.
· Contacting and writing articles for local press.
· Contacting local radio stations and news outlets to secure interviews.
· Promoting key Mary’s Meals campaigns locally throughout the year.
Volunteering with Mary’s Meals provides great personal benefits such as:

Experience required
We are looking for volunteers who are friendly, trustworthy, interested in meeting new people and committed to our mission and values. This opportunity is also very flexible, and volunteers are encouraged to bring their skills, experience and ideas to the role.
Restrictions
Minimum age: 18
Volunteers (aged 18-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
