Social Media Volunteer

Oor Villages is a community newsletter for the villages of Tarbolton, Annbank, and Mossblown. We are looking for a volunteer who can help us out with our Social Media channels. We need help maintaining a social media presence for the newsletter, managing the social media channels across a variety of platforms. We are also looking for someone who can work with the editor and the business team to help increase newsletter sales. We would also love someone who is comfortable using video tools like CapCut to produce content for platforms like TikTok and Instagram Reels.

Experience required

• Ability to work as a team and independently.
• Previous experience with major social media platforms and scheduling tools
• Previous experience using design tools such as Canva and CapCut

Travel details

This role is primarily home based with meetings taking place online. As part of the role you may be occasionally required to travel to Tarbolton, Annbank, or Mossblown. If this is required it will be communicated in advance to the volunteer.

Travel expenses

As per Tarbolton Community Council’s Volunteer Expenses Policy, pre agreed travel expenses will be reimbursed to the volunteer.

Support
Training details

One of our aims is to upskill our volunteers and we can provide additional training as required. As part of this, volunteers may also wish to change roles within the organisation and we will be happy to work with volunteers to arrange this.
