No matter how good our services are, we can't properly support our users/community well if we don't have a good committee behind the team. If this sounds like you?... we would love you to consider volunteering with us for a few hours per month.
Tenants and Residents groups provide a collective (and stronger) voice for tenants in the area, and an organisation which can lobby to get changes made and act as a focus for consultation. Most offer advice to local people and represent their communities when working with the Council. Dalmuir Multi-Storey Flats are seeking additional committee members. As we are a Tenants and Residents Association our committee members must stay in the Dalmuir Multi-Storey flats to be able to participate
Our friendly Committee is an ideal place for you to put your Committee Skills to great use . We are specifically looking for a secretary to help keep us organised, dealing with any correspondence, preparing for meetings and doing a meeting note of each meeting. It's a vital role to keep our group functioning effectively. Previous experience would be ideal but if you are an organised type of person this will be straightforward. We are supported by Tenant Participation staff at the Council and can provide references for anyone who volunteers with us.
So, whether you are looking to use your time well, update your skills or have the chance to do something a bit new, we would love to hear from you. In return, we can offer you a warm welcome and all of the support and help you could need.
We are seeing a rise in demand for our services, everyday. Having your help will allow us to be there for the people who need us. Any time you can give will make a real difference.
