Activity Support Volunteers – Adults with Disabilities

Do you enjoy being creative, sociable, and making a difference in your community? Join AMZ Activities Group as a volunteer and help us deliver fun, inclusive sessions for adults with disabilities!

At AMZ Activities Group, we run a wide range of engaging, person-centred activities that aim to build confidence, develop skills, and—most importantly—bring joy. As a volunteer, you’ll be supporting individuals with additional needs to take part in everything from arts & crafts, bingo, and music sessions, to cooking, knitting, discos, and walking football. No two days are ever the same!

This role is perfect for anyone with a warm, friendly nature who enjoys interacting with others and wants to be part of something rewarding. You don’t need previous experience working with people with disabilities—just patience, empathy, and a willingness to get stuck in. Whether you’re helping someone paint a masterpiece, join in a game, or just enjoy a good chat over a cup of tea, you’ll be making a real difference in someone’s day.

As a volunteer, you’ll:
• Help set up and run activities alongside staff
• Encourage and support individuals to participate and have fun
• Promote social interaction and a positive group atmosphere
• Assist with tidying up and creating a safe, welcoming environment

All volunteers will receive a full induction covering our activities, values, safeguarding, and working with adults with disabilities. Ongoing support is provided by a named staff contact, and we encourage open communication. Volunteers will be guided through each session and have the opportunity to shadow staff until they feel confident. Training and guidance are always available.

You’ll be part of a caring, inclusive team that values every person’s contribution. We’ll provide you with all the guidance you need, plus the chance to learn new skills and meet amazing people. Whether you’re looking to gain experience, give back to the community, or just try something new, this opportunity is a great way to do it.

Join us and be part of something that truly matters. At AMZ Activities Group, we don’t just run sessions—we create smiles, build friendships, and celebrate every individual’s potential.
