Physical Excercise volunteer

We are seeking a volunteer to lead a seated exercise class. These gentle, chair-based exercises are excellent for improving posture and balance, making them suitable for individuals with reduced mobility. By volunteering as a care home volunteer, you will not only help older individuals have fun and stay active, but you will also enrich your own life through new experiences and friendships

An understanding of body systems (eg, Level 2 Anatomy & Physiology for Exercise & Fitness Instructors or similar) is essential.

The volunteer will liaise with our Wellbeing Co-ordinator to plan and prepare for chair-based exercise sessions, instructing safe exercise methods, including proper body posture, to reduce strain or risk of injury to our residents.

This role will require a PVG check.
