Home-Visiting/Group Volunteer

Home-Start Cowdenbeath offers support and practical help to parents with young children in Cowdenbeath locality area. Volunteers help to increase confidence and independence in families by offering support, friendship and practical help. They visit families in their own homes or in one of the family groups within Home-Start premises.
Home-Start Volunteers are usually parents themselves so understand the complex nature of parenting, supporting parents to look at their strengths, take care of their emotional wellbeing and to encourage the family to widen their network and effectively use the support and services available in their own community.
