Volunteer Driver Needed

Flourish House is a mental health recovery community based in Woodlands, Glasgow. You can find out more about becoming a member

Flourish House are looking for a Volunteer driver to help with our Farshare delivery on a Tuesday Morning.

Flourish House is a GAMH project that helps adults with severe and enduring mental illness rebuild structure and well-being in their lives. Members recover confidence and skills whilst achieving social, financial and vocational goals.

The staff and members use the delivery from Fairshare to prepare healthy delicious lunches for members. Providing these meals is a key part of our work. They help reduce food poverty, and health inequality, as well as build social connections for isolated people. There's no better way to build community than over a hearty meal. We also use the food to stock our community fridge - getting food to those who need it, reducing food waste at the same time.

Providing these meals is a key part of Flourish House’s work — they help reduce food poverty and health inequalities, and encourage social connection among people who may otherwise feel isolated.

Shared meals are an important way of building a sense of community and belonging.

In addition to lunches, the food delivery is used to stock Flourish House’s community fridge, providing free food to those in need and reducing food waste at the same time.
