Volunteers will help clear outdoor areas around the farm - including moving tyres. We could do rolling tyre races to make it a bit more fun if you like! There's always something to do so we'll keep you busy for the day! :) Please wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty!
Although we are a community farm (owned by the community), we don't have any animals on site we're afraid. Downside - no cute animals to say hello too, upside - no horrendous smells and no cow pat!
For organisations, for this task day, we would request the cost of a skip that we can fill on the day please. The price for this will be £367. We offer lunch from our tearoom for all volunteers at £5 per head. Alternatively, people can bring a packed lunch.
We have had some fantastic corporate volunteer days with Lothian Pension Fund, Natwest (who have came back 3 times!), Virgin Media/O2 and Edinburgh Airport staff. We always receive great feedback and we try our best to make sure every volunteer has a great day!
