About CRVS
CRVS is a volunteer-led organisation dedicated to helping Scottish communities prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies. Our mission is to build community resilience through training, volunteer mobilisation, and collaboration with emergency services and local authorities. Our vision is a Scotland where every community is confident, equipped, and connected in the face of crisis.
About the Role
As our Fundraising Co-ordinator, you’ll play a vital role in securing the resources that enable us to keep supporting those most in need. Your main responsibilities will include:
Researching and applying for relevant grants and funding opportunities
Organising fundraising events and campaigns (both online and in-person)
Building relationships with local organisations, donors, and sponsors
Collaborating with other volunteers to support fundraising goals and strategies
This is a flexible, rewarding role that allows you to build real-world fundraising and event management experience while contributing to a cause that truly matters.
Time Commitment
Flexible hours—around 4 to 6 hours per week, based on your availability
Occasional events may require evening or weekend involvement
A suggested minimum commitment of 3 months
Volunteer Support
As a CRVS volunteer, you’ll receive:
A full induction and role-specific guidance
Ongoing support from our experienced core team
Access to templates, resources, and advice for bids and event planning
Regular check-ins to ensure your wellbeing and development
Reimbursement of agreed out-of-pocket expenses (e.g. local travel)
