Service Coordinator

Volunteer 1:1 Role Description

Support will include the following:
Listening and talking either virtually or face to face.
Offering a safe and confidential space.
Provide feedback after each session.
COSCA Counselling Skills or equivalent is essential for this role.
PVG membership is required for this role.

You will receive an induction and training.
You will need to access to a car or public transport unless you are supporting someone virtually.
You will receive agreed expenses as per our expenses policy, when necessary.

The time required for this role really depends on the needs of the individuals we are supporting. We would suggest expecting to contribute around 1 hour for listening and talking virtual support, 2hrs for providing support in person. When committing your time please bear in mind that an isolated person may start their journey with a phone call, then progress to in person meetings. This journey usually takes around 12 weeks.


Experience required

COSCA Counselling Skills or relevant experience, including life experience is essential or this role.
