BRAVEHOUND

Bravehound aims to help heal the invisible wounds of military veterans with their specially trained assistance dogs. They provide assistance dogs to veterans who have a clinical diagnosis of a mental health condition such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, depression and anxiety.
As a Bravehound Events Volunteer you will help at the Bravehound stand at the various events they attend. This involves:
• Help set up the stall
• Hand out leaflets
• Be on hand to answer questions from people re the charity
• Help to sell merchandise when applicable
• Help people to sign up to volunteer with Bravehound
• Help to dismantle and pack away
This opportunity is very flexible, and Bravehound would be happy for volunteers to commit as much or as little time as they like.
Experience required
Volunteers should be happy to communicate with members of the public, and be enthusiastic about the aims of Bravehound.
Travel details
Events will take place locally to the volunteer.
Travel expenses
Reasonable expenses are reimbursed.
Support
Training details
Volunteers are given an induction to Bravehound, and will be given any relevant training for the role. Support will be available from the operations manager.
Restrictions
Minimum age: 18
Availability
Volunteers (aged 18-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
