Dog Sitter Volunteer

Bravehound aims to help heal the invisible wounds of military veterans with their specially trained assistance dogs. They provide assistance dogs to veterans who have a clinical diagnosis of a mental health condition such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, depression and anxiety.
As a Bravehound Dog Sitter you will provide care for a Bravehound Dog on a short-term basis, whilst the veteran or regular volunteer Bravehound Buddy is away and cannot have the Bravehound with them.
Bravehound will carry out a home visit to ensure that your environment is suitable for this role. You will be given all the equipment and food required for their stay with you, as well as a complete handover about the dog.
The Bravehound Dog Sitter Volunteer is a very ad- hoc role, but a valued role as they need to have people they can turn to especially in an emergency.

Experience required

Volunteers should be comfortable around animals and able to provide a good level of care. A home visit will be required to ensure your home is a safe environment for the dog.

Travel details

This opportunity is undertaken from home.
