Bravehound Buddy

Bravehound aims to help heal the invisible wounds of military veterans with their specially trained assistance dogs. They provide assistance dogs to veterans who have a clinical diagnosis of a mental health condition such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, depression and anxiety.
Their expert dog trainers provide bespoke support for their Bravehound dogs and their veterans. Once the puppy is about 8 weeks old they are placed with a Bravehound Buddy who then helps with the initial foundations for about 6 months, until an appropriate veteran is matched. The impact of the Bravehound Buddy’s work throughout this phase is invaluable.
In this role, you will care for the welfare of a dog, socialise the dog, and with help from the Bravehound training team, help with training the foundations of an assistance dog, including taking the puppy to various locations to get used to socialisation.
