Social Media Support Volunteer

Knights Templar Goodwill Charity of Scotland is dedicated to alleviating poverty and assisting those in need in Scotland by providing essential care packages, food, clothing and long-term support for veterans, homeless and those living in poverty.

Social media plays a key role in the success of the charity. This is a flexible role that can be done at home at a time which suits the volunteer. The role involves:

· Creating social media content


· Advertising volunteering opportunities


· Increasing engagement with the local community


· Designing banners and flyers to keep socials up to date


· Develop engaging content for the target audience


Experience required

Good organisational, planning, time management and IT skills are essential for this role. The volunteer should be reliable with the ability to think creatively when creating content. Previous experience of content creation is desirable.

Travel details

This opportunity is flexible and can be home based. The role is flexible and can be done at home at times to suit the volunteer.

Travel expenses

Travel expenses will be reimbursed on a case-by-case basis at public transport rates.

Training details

An induction to the role will be provided and ongoing An induction will be provided which includes an overview of the charity’s social media. Ongoing training and support will be provided.
