Rabbit Foster Carer

Beloved Rabbits is a dedicated rabbit rescue organization committed to the welfare and rehabilitation of rabbits in need. Their mission is to provide safe, loving environments for rabbits until they find their forever homes.

They are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join their team as Rabbit Foster Carers. This volunteer position involves caring for rescued rabbits in your own home, providing them with a temporary, nurturing environment. This role will involve providing daily care, attention, and socialisation, maintaining a 3x2m space within your home for the rabbit, observing and monitoring the heath and behaviour of the rabbit, and maintaining accurate records about the rabbit.

Experience required

You need a space of at least 3m x 2m in total to provide adequate living & exercise space. You need access to transport to get rabbits safely to vets for routine and emergency appointments.

Travel details

Volunteers will look after rabbits in their own home, although travel may be required to collect the rabbits.

Travel expenses

Veterinary costs are covered by the charity directly. Equipment, where required, is provided by the charity. Volunteers will need to cover daily food & bedding costs.

Support
Training details

Volunteers will receive an induction and all relevant training they will need to care for a rabbit. A named contact will be available for support.
