Boccia Leader Support

No matter how good our services are, we can't properly support our users/community well if we don't have good organisers in the team. If this sounds like you... we would love you to consider volunteering with us for a few hours per week.

Our club helps support a variety of people from different backgrounds to help develop their personal and social skills in a friendly atmosphere.  Our members have disabilities or long-term health conditions which can lead to mental health issues and a danger of becoming socially isolated which can affect their wellbeing.  Our club allows people to socialise in a friendly and safe environment where they can learn a new sport and spend time with others.

•     Assist in setting up the court for Boccia training, including laying out court markers and arranging equipment
•     Help set up training games under the direction of coaching or lead volunteers
•     Pick up Boccia balls during and after sessions as needed to support play and ensure a tidy court
•     Assist with packing away equipment and tidying the space at the end of each session
•     Attend training provided by the club to understand setup procedures and safety guidelines
•     Promote a positive, inclusive atmosphere for all participants and fellow volunteers.

So whether you are looking to use your time well, update your skills or have the chance to do something a bit new, we can offer you a warm welcome and all of the support and help you could need.

We are seeing a rise in demand for our services everyday. Having your help will allow us to be there for the people who need us. Any time you can give will make a real difference.
