Social Group Volunteer

Larbert and Stenhousemuir Age Concern are a group that offers help to the senior citizens in the area. Activities and events are offered to help with loneliness and isolation and it also helps with their mental health and cognitive ability. Information is provided on various issues such as benefits which they may not be aware of and are entitled to. Also energy efficiency information to try and bring down the cost of their bills.

Larbert and Stenhousemuir Age Concern are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join the team. The group runs twice per week hosting activities and events, and with the reopening of the hall, there’s never been a better time to get involved.

Volunteer roles include:
• Setting up the hall for the group
• Assisting in the kitchen with teas/coffees etc.
• Welcoming and chatting with members
• General cleaning and tidying of the hall area.

Whether you can spare an hour a week or a few days a month, your time and skills could make a real difference. Volunteers would also be welcomed to support fundraising activities for the group.
