NHS Lothian will once again be offering Covid/Flu vaccinations over the Autumn/Winter period to individuals in the community who are most at risk.
To help with the smooth running of the vaccination centres, we are looking for volunteer support. Would you have a minimum of 2 hours on either a Saturday or Sunday to help out?
Your role would involve: welcoming people to the vaccination centre; checking their vaccination letter (to make sure they are in the right place!); directing people to the appropriate queue/waiting area; answering minor enquiries (where are the toilets/exits? etc.); making small talk where appropriate.
Experience required
We are looking for volunteers who are friendly, helpful, confident, and calm. You must also have strong verbal communications skills and be able to talk to people easily. Being reliable and punctual is extremely important.
Travel details
Eastfield Medical Practice is reachable by Lothian/East Coast bus services. Free parking is also available.
Travel expenses
Agreed out of pocket expenses which are incurred when carrying out this volunteer role (e.g., travel) will be reimbursed in line with the NHS Lothian volunteer expenses policy and signed off by the Voluntary Services Manager

Training details
Volunteers will be provided with a role description, induction booklet, and a meeting with the Voluntary Services Manager. Uniform and ID badges will also be provided.
