DEBRA are recruiting new volunteers for their popular charity shop in Glenrothes. Join their friendly team and do something you'll really love! Whether you're looking to learn new skills, gain experience in retail, meet new people or just have fun, DEBRA provide a wide range of activities, finding the perfect role for everyone.
The role will involve:
-Serving customers and using the computerised till to take payments for purchases
-Sorting donated stock, clothing and bric-a-brac
-Recording donor details for gift-aid
-Using a steaming appliance on donated clothes
-Assisting the shop manager with any other task to keep the shop running efficiently
DEBRA is the national charity that funds research and healthcare to support individuals and families affected by Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) – a painful genetic skin blistering condition which, in the worst cases, can be fatal.

Experience required
The organisation are looking for reliable, committed volunteers who are happy to work as part of a team.

Travel expenses
Volunteer travel expenses will be reimbursed on a weekly basis.
Support
Training details
Volunteers are inducted into the organisation and offered continual training appropriate to their role.
Restrictions
Minimum age: 16
Volunteers must be over 16 as per the Board criteria unless they are undertaking a Duke of Edinburgh Award then they can be considered from age 14.
Availability
Volunteers (aged 16-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
