Volunteer Circle of Support Facilitator

Volunteer Circle Facilitator Equal Futures is looking for compassionate volunteers to join our Circle of Support Toolkit Mastery project. As a Circle Facilitator, you’ll help adults with a learning disability, autistic adults, and others who may be vulnerable to build their own Circle of Support—a network of family, friends, and community members who encourage, listen, and help plan for the life they want.

Your role will be to guide meetings, ensure everyone’s voice is heard, and support the person at the centre to express their goals and aspirations. Training, mentoring, and resources are provided—you don’t need previous experience, just empathy and reliability.

This is a flexible opportunity (typically 1.5–2 hours every 4–6 weeks) with expenses covered. It’s ideal for students, people with lived experience of disability or caring, or anyone wanting to upskill in inclusive practice.

Make a real difference—help someone feel connected, valued, and supported.

Experience required

Empathy, reliability, and good listening skills; ability to communicate clearly and inclusively; respectful of diversity; open to learning; experience of disability, caring, or group facilitation helpful but not essential—training and support provided.

Travel expenses

Equal Futures reimburses volunteers for agreed out-of-pocket expenses, including public transport fares and mileage at 4op per mile. Expenses are claimed via a simple form and reimbursed weekly by bank transfer.
