Trustee Board Member

Welcome to The Adult Queer Breakfast Club — a vibrant, snack-loving community group dedicated to creating safe, inclusive spaces for the LGBTIQ+ community and allies in Grangemouth. We’re passionate about intersectionality, intergenerational connection, and the simple joy of board games over breakfast.

As we grow, we’re looking for committed, values-driven individuals to join our Board of Trustees. If you believe in social change, community care, and the power of queer joy, we’d love to hear from you. We would be particularly keen to hear from individuals with experience in; leadership, safeguarding, finance, or organisational development, prior involvement in community work or LGBTIQ+ advocacy, fundraising and/or an understanding of charity governance, procedures, and ethical guidelines.

The role includes:

  • Board Duties: Preparing for and attending meetings, reviewing documents, and contributing to decision-making.

Other involvement can include:

  • Community Engagement: Supporting events, helping with outreach, and staying connected to the pulse of our group.

  • Operational Support: Assisting with admin tasks, communications, or project work depending on your strengths.

Why join us?
This is more than a governance role — it’s a chance to shape a grassroots movement that celebrates queer identity, fosters belonging, and makes space for joy. Whether you’re a seasoned trustee or new to charity work, your lived experience and voice matter here.
