Hop on the Cheering Bus

Be part of the electric atmosphere at the Great Scottish Run by joining our open-top cheering bus—parked proudly at the 1km marker!

We’re calling on all high-energy, big-hearted volunteers to help us turn up the volume and celebrate every runner as they pass by. Whether you're a natural hype machine or just love a good party, we want you on board.

What You’ll Do:

• Cheer, clap, and wave like there’s no tomorrow

• Bring your best smiles and party spirit

• Help create an unforgettable moment for every runner

Location: 1km Marker, Glasgow

Time: 8am – 1pm or 8am – 11am or 10am – 1pm

Date: Sunday 5th October 2025

Let’s make some noise, spread some joy, and show these runners the heart of Scotland. Bagpipes optional, enthusiasm required!

Experience required

The skills you need
Enjoy engaging with people
Friendly, polite and cheerful
Ability to get to and from the event location safely
Ability to volunteer as part of a team

Travel expenses

Expenses Reasonable out-of-pocket expenses will be reimbursed. These should be discussed with your Line Manager prior to outlay and must be submitted within the prescribed guidelines as detailed in the CHSS Volunteer Expenses Policy.
