Join us at the finish line!

Be the smile greeting our runners as they cross the line at the Great Scottish Run! We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help celebrate every achievement—big or small.

Your role will include:
Cheering and congratulating runners as they finish
Guiding runners to the CHSS tent for well-earned support
Handing out water, fruit, and heartfelt thank-yous
Sharing stories, laughs, and encouragement
Whether you're a seasoned volunteer or just fancy being part of a feel-good day, we’d love to have you on board. Let’s make this event unforgettable—for the runners and for you.

Where you will be based

Why we want you
We are looking for someone to help the Fundraising team raise funds in their local community by attending organised Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland events.


What you will be doing
Attend organised CHSS events (indoor and outdoor)
Raise awareness of CHSS
Engage with the public at the registration desk, water stations and finish line
Help manage the car park on the event site


The skills you need
Enjoy engaging with people
Friendly, polite and cheerful
Ability to get to and from the event location safely
Ability to volunteer as part of a team
