Time Commitment: Flexible (Wednesday - Sunday)

About GoodBuild Hub
The GoodBuild Hub, part of Good Green Futures, is a community space focused on reducing construction and household waste while giving materials a second life. We provide affordable DIY and construction materials, and run practical workshops and projects that help people develop new skills and support local communities.


Role Overview
We are looking for practical, hands-on volunteers to join our team at the GoodBuild Hub. This is a great opportunity for anyone who enjoys working with tools, likes being part of a friendly team, and wants to support sustainability in the local community. Volunteers will have the opportunity to help with a range of tasks including managing donations, checking and sorting tools, and assisting in the wood workshop.


Key Responsibilities


Help receive and sort donations of construction materials and tools.


Check tools for safety and functionality.


Assist with running activities in the wood workshop, including preparing materials and supporting participants.


Keep the hub tidy and organised.


Follow health and safety procedures at all times.


Person Specification


Enjoy practical, hands-on work.


Interest in DIY, construction, woodworking, or related activities.


Reliable and able to commit to agreed volunteering times.


Friendly and able to work as part of a team.


Willing to learn and follow guidance from Hub staff.

It's a 5 minute walk from the Park & Ride Bus stop or a 20 minute walk from town. There is carparking on site.
