For over 50 years, Dunfermline Music has been helping music lovers enjoy professional-quality live classical and chamber music in an intimate and welcoming setting, allowing local people to hear beautiful music up-close and personal. They host 6 concerts on Sundays throughout the months of October – March.
Dunfermline Music is currently looking for a secretary to join their committee in order to support the organisation of the group. The main tasks will include:
Monitoring emails and answering queries
Liaising with venues and musicians
Keeping a calendar of tasks for the group
Writing reports on the activities of the group
If you have an interest in music, and enjoy admin and organisation, this could be the role for you. All committee members can help to decide which musicians are booked for concerts and will be able to help out and attend on concert days.
Experience required
Volunteers should have a genuine interest in classical music, and should have skills in admin, be organised, and be good at communication.
Travel details
The role can be undertaken primarily from home, with meetings taking place in Dunfermline. Concerts are held in Viewfield Baptist Church.
Travel expenses
Expenses can be discussed on a 1-1 basis.
Support
Training details
The secretary will be given support by the existing committee members, including a comprehensive induction to the role.
