Westfield Park Community Centre
- VO104329
Westfield Park Community Centre is a small Scottish Charity (SCO4809). It strives to provide a programme of social, recreational and educational activities for the benefit of the people of Westfield and the wider community, of all backgrounds and ages. The Centre is in the heart of the local community and in the middle of the wider Falkirk and Grangemouth area.
The objectives of Westfield Park Community Centre is to make sure; the community is engaged and connected, our people are supported and valued, we are responsive to need and our organisation is sustainable and resilient.
Trustees of the organisation must act in the interests of the charity, seek in good faith to ensure the charity operates in a manner consistent with its purposes, ensure the charity is well-run, provide strategic direction, ensure compliance and help manage resources of the charity.
Trustees need to be team players; people who work well with others, who value and respect different opinions/points of view and who have the best interests of the charity at heart. They should support fairness and openness in charities dealings with beneficiaries and stakeholders and help increase public confidence and accountability.
We are particularly looking for skills/experience of charity governance, finance, fundraising or business management, but would also welcome any application from whom who would like to learn or receive training in any aspect of charity governance.
Experience required
Trustees should want to support the charity and its aims and objectives. They should also have time available to commit to their Trustee duties.
