Trustee - Funding Strategist

Equi-Power is an award-winning independent charity and member group of the Riding for the Disabled Association serving Central Scotland.

We believe in the power of horses to transform lives. Our therapeutic and competitive activities are for children and adults with additional support needs. We provide a safe and welcoming environment for people of all ages to experience the benefits of being around horses. Our activities improve physical and emotional well-being and promote skills development.
We operate from a shared rental premises and aspire to build our own, purpose designed centre of excellence in Stirling.

Equi-Power are seeking an experienced third sector fundraiser to join our board of trustees or project team to advise on a fundraising strategy to support the capital build costs of a new RDA centre of excellence near Stirling.


Experience required

Experience and successful track record with third sector funding for capital projects.
High level of literacy/numeracy and excellent interpersonal skills. An enthusiasm for our cause!

Travel details

A Stirling based opportunity (FK7 8AP) with potential for hybrid/remote engagement.

Travel expenses

Pre agreed mileage can be claimed by volunteers.

Training details

Trustees receive a standard organisational induction and uptake SVE trustee training.

Minimum age: 18

Frequency & commitment
Monthly 2 hour trustee meetings plus available time to support the project team.

Volunteers (aged 18-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
