We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help us talk about light-sensitivity and raise the profile of LightAware on our social media channels. Knowledge of light-sensitivity is not essential but a willingness to learn is.
What’s involved?
Researching and creating engaging content in line with our social media strategy, message and values.
Posting content on our social media channels (Facebook, X and LinkedIn).
Helping create a network of relationships through likes, shares and reposts and where appropriate driving traffic to the LightAware website.
Creating graphics to illustrate key issues and themes.
Contributing to our social media strategy and engagement.
Experience required
Experience using online social media. Ideally on Facebook, X and/or LinkedIn.
You should be a good communicator who is able to think creatively, stimulate the conversation and work in a team. Experience using Canva would be a bonus.

Working from home.
Travel expenses
There are unlikely to be expenses for this post but any reasonable expenses, agreed in advance, will be paid.

Training details
We will ensure that volunteers are equipped with knowledge of the organisation and the issues around light-sensitivity.
Restrictions
Minimum age: 18
You need to be able to access a computer and work online from home.
Availability
Frequency & commitment
The post is flexible but we are ideally looking for someone who can dip in and out throughout the week for a minimum of 1 hour a week.
Volunteers (aged 18-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
