Our Christmas Tree Recycling Fundraising Project is a vital initiative for CHAS, helping us raise essential funds to provide care and support for children and families across Scotland. By volunteering as a driver, you’ll play a key role in making this project possible - collecting trees that will be recycled responsibly, reducing waste, and promoting sustainability in our communities. Every tree you collect helps us protect the environment while ensuring that families facing the toughest times receive the care they need.
What you will be doing
Driving a van along a pre-planned route to collect Christmas trees from donors
Safely loading and unloading trees into the van
Transporting trees to the designated recycling location
Following health and safety guidelines at all times
Acting as a friendly ambassador for CHAS when interacting with donors and the public

Experience required
A full, clean UK driving licence and confidence driving a van
Good phyiscal fitness to lift and load trees safely
Ability to follow a route and manage time effectively
Reliability and punctuality
A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
